Scope & who we are
This Privacy Policy applies to Razored Technologies, Inc. (“Razored,” “we,” “us”), the operator of the Razored platform — software used by grooming and beauty businesses to run booking, payments, client management, and reporting. It describes how we handle information we collect from operators (the businesses that use Razored), providers (barbers, stylists, and staff), and clients (the customers who book appointments through operators on Razored).
Information we collect
From operators & providers
- Account details: name, email, phone, business name, role.
- Business information: shop locations, services offered, pricing, schedules.
- Payout details: bank account or debit card info needed to receive payments.
- Usage information: how the product is used, which features, error logs.
From clients
- Contact details: name, phone, email, used for booking and confirmations.
- Appointment history with the operator.
- Payment information: card-on-file tokens (held by our payments processor — full card numbers never touch Razored servers).
How we use information
We use information to operate, secure, and improve the Razored platform. That means processing bookings, sending appointment confirmations, charging cards, paying out providers, generating reports for operators, and surfacing the data operators need to run their business. We use aggregated, de-identified usage data to improve the product. We do not sell personal information.
How we share information
We share information only as needed to run the platform:
- With our payments processor, to handle card transactions and provider payouts.
- With infrastructure providers (hosting, error monitoring, email, SMS) under contract.
- With operators, who control client data for their own shop (see Operator vs. client data below).
- If required by law, court order, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
Payments & subprocessors
Razored Pay — the payments layer of the platform — is built on top of Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payments processor. Card data is captured and stored by Stripe under their security standards; Razored receives only tokenized references. Stripe’s privacy practices are governed by their own policy.
We use a small set of additional subprocessors for hosting, analytics, error monitoring, email, and SMS delivery. A current list is available on request.
Operator vs. client data
This is important: operators are the data controller for their client data; Razored is the processor. When a client books an appointment with a shop on Razored, that client’s contact details and appointment history belong to the operator’s business — not to Razored. Razored holds and processes that information on the operator’s behalf, under their direction. Operators are responsible for honoring client requests about that data (access, correction, deletion).
Razored’s own data (operator account info, billing, support correspondence) is handled directly by us under this policy.
Cookies & tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, and product analytics. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser, but parts of the platform may not function without them.
Security
We take security seriously. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized engineers, logged, and reviewed. Card data is handled by our PCI-compliant processor — never stored on Razored servers. We disclose security incidents to affected parties without unnecessary delay, in accordance with applicable law.
Data retention
We retain operator and provider account data for as long as the account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations. Client data is retained according to the operator’s instructions and applicable law. Aggregated, de-identified data may be retained longer for analytics.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@razoredtech.com. If you are a client of an operator, please contact that operator directly — they control your client data on the platform.
Children’s privacy
Razored is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
International transfers
Razored is operated from the United States. If you access the platform from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to operators and posted here with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
